Stone Country

The FAR Center for Contemporary Arts is celebrating Bloomington’s Bicentennial and Limestone Month with an exhibition of photographs from Jeffrey A. Wolin’s series, “Stone County: Then & Now”. Started in the early 80’s, this work traces the history of the quarries and the people who have labored in them, along with technological shifts in the industry, as well as monuments and buildings constructed from southern Indiana limestone.

Accompanying the photographs are limestone sculptures by local artist, Amy Brier.
