Event

While driving to Florida on an annual Christmas holiday with an extra week granted out of school, pulling our boat filled with three days’ worth of food, luggage and blankets; Mom cracks the window just enough to release a tissue she had just spit on to tidy my face. When I asked why she threw out the tissue, I was told it took care of itself.
Responding to the current state of pollution in the world, this playful painting exhibit, Transmutation, imagines possible consequences to life from decades of reckless dumping of trash, pharmaceuticals and toxic substances into the environment.
Transmutation by Karen Holtzclaw will be at the Bellevue Gallery in the Farmer House Museum until the end of May. The Farmer House Museum is located at 529 N. College Avenue in downtown Bloomington. The museum is open Wednesdays-Sundays 10-4 with extended hours every Friday for Old Time Radio Fridays, a listening party for fans of classic scripted radio. In conjunction with the show Old Time Radio Fridays will be concentrating on environmental issues. Please call 812-336-5597 for more information.
I wonder how we’ll be remembered by future generations.
