Project Green Prom is an event at Bloomington High School South in which our environmental club, Students Advocating for a Greener Environment (S.A.G.E.), will recycle dresses for prom. We are asking for donations of dresses, shoes, and other prom accessories to promote a more eco-friendly prom. Prom, homecoming, cocktail, and bridesmaids dresses are all needed. Project Green Prom will reduce the school’s environmental impact, raise student awareness, and decrease the carbon footprint of prom at BHSS.

Donations may be dropped off at the main office of the high school Monday through Friday, 7:30AM to 3:30PM, through Friday March 8th. There will be a Project Green Prom Fashion Show for students on March 18, 2013 to exhibit the donated dresses. Students will be able to try on and buy the dresses every day after school during the week of March 18-March 22. Dress prices will range from free to $10 and any proceeds will support future Project Green Prom efforts.
