Stepping Out. Paul Kane grew up in Boston, studied art at Yale and IU, and has lived in Bloomington since 1989, exhibiting his work locally and nationally. His paintings at Norteno Gallery draw on cubist imagery, and other influences, to explore music and dance. The Norteno show, which Kane calls "Stepping Out", is a departure for Kane because it is more abstract and playful than his usual work.
