Jazz Fables presents:Tribute to Miles Davis w.IU Jazz Faculty Members Tom Walsh-saxes and Luke Gillespie-piano, IU Adjunct Music Lecturer Marlin McKay-trumpet, Jazz Fables Series director David Miller-trumpet, and IU Jazz Studies student artists Anna Butterss-bass, & Ben Lumsdaine-drums playing a 50th Anniversary Tribute to Miles' 1963/64 Quintet w. Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Tony Williams, and George Coleman. They'll play classic modern jazz compositions and standards recorded on Miles' albums: Seven Steps To Heaven, Miles In Europe, the complete 1964 Concert:My Funny Valentine/Four & More, including jazz classics by Miles: Four, Milestones, All Blues, Seven Steps To Heaven (Miles/Victor Feldman), So Near-So Far, Walkin', and his versions of standards Autumn Leaves(Johnny Mercer), All Of You (Cole Porter), and Stella By Starlight(Victor Young).
