Jazz Fables presents Üt Haus jazz band's 22nd Annual Holiday Jazz Concert will feat. Jerry Morris- French horn,vocals, David Miller-trumpet, flugelhorn, Matt Roehrich-tenor and alto saxes, Brian Kearney -bari, tenor, and alto saxes, vocals, Robert Stright-vibes, Steve Johnson-bass, and Kevin Newcomb- drums. They'll play Jerry Morris's uniquely Üt jazz arrangements of Christmas Carols (We Three Kings, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Hark the Herald, O Come All Ye Faithful, Silent night, O Christmas Tree,etc), popular holiday classics (Frosty the Snowman, Here Comes Santa Claus, Let It Snow, Auld Lang Syne, plus zany & unusual holiday jazz: Miles Davis and Bob Dorough's Blue X-Mas, Mojo Nixon's Burn Down The Malls, Misha Mengelberg's Hypochristmutreefuzz, plus Morris' own waltz But The Snowman Cries.
Also joining us at intermission will be WFHB DJ "The Vicious Gus Travers"(Bill Weaver) to tell one of his notoriously quirky Christmas stories, plus a special guest performance by "Santa" on saxophone!
