First Friday Evening: Art Unlimited
DATE: December 7, 2012
Meet and watch Stone Belt artists using various media to create unique works of art from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the WonderLab Museum. Visitors also will have the opportunity to work together on a giant collage of a winter scene to be displayed at WonderLab, as well as individual artwork to take home. These include making textile mosaics and painting using unique tools and featuring colors at the cool end of the light spectrum.

WonderLab's First Friday Evening Science of Art series offers adults and children the opportunity to explore the connections between art and science. Activities are recommended for all ages and are included with admission. A small-plate meal of macaroni and cheese, sugar snap peas and whole wheat bread, freshly prepared by Bloomingfoods, will be available to purchase on-site ($2.50) in the museum cafe.

In addition to the discount museum admission in effect after 5:00 pm, there will be a 20% discount in the WonderLab gift store the whole day. The Bloomington Transit Stuff-A-Bus will be parked outside the museum all day to accept donations of new toys, which will be distributed before the holidays to local families in need by the Salvation Army.
