Join Tamdin Wangdu, the founder and executive director of the Tibetan Village
Project, for a presentation and talk about his work in Tibet and about his commitment to the economic, cultural, and environmental empowerment of communities living on the Tibetan Plateau, particularly those impacted by the devastating earthquake of April 2010 in Yushu.
Tamdin started TVP in 2001 to fund a medical clinic after he lost his father in the village. Several years later, TVP has expanded its program in other villages and has become an important bridge between Tibetans in Tibet and those who wish to help them. Tamdin lives in Colorado and travels to Tibet each summer with those who are interested in visiting Tibet and volunteering in communities.
