WonderLab is closed Thanksgiving Day, but will reopen with extended hours today for family fun and holiday shopping as part of the downtown Bloomington Canopy of Lights celebration. Visitors can expect to find and enjoy several favorite exhibits, such as Robotix, from WonderLab's permanent collection, which have been brought out of storage and put on display. "Try It" tables with popular family games, which are available to purchase in the museum gift store, also will be set up in the exhibit galleries during the afternoon. A small plate meal of macaroni and cheese with sugar snap peas and a slice of whole wheat bread, freshly prepared by Bloomingfood's, will be available to purchase from 4:30 pm - 6:15 pm onsite in the WonderLab cafe.
Make the museum gift store one of your "black Friday" destinations! The gift store will be open the same extended hours as the museum. There is no admission charge to shop in the gift store, which is located just inside the entrance to the museum. The WonderLab gift store offers infant and preschool toys, family games, construction systems, classic science toys, robot kits, plush animals, brain teasers, handmade items by local Indiana artisans, and more. All gift store sales support WonderLab's educational activities throughout the year.
