Jazz Fables presents the Fables series debut of The Matt MacDougall Quartet playing a CD Release Concert w.MacDougall-guitar, and IU Jazz Studies artists Aaron Bannerman-trumpet, Anna Butterss- bass,Ben Lumsdaine-drums, performing compositions by IU Jazz Studies AI Matt MacDougall from his new CD: Familiar Faces, and his arrangements of standards and rock classics.
MacDougall, an IU Jazz Studies AI from Nova Scotia, Canada, received his BM from St. Francis Xavier University, has played at The Ottawa Jazz Fest with The Galaxy Rising Stars Youth Summit Group, the Halifax Jazz Festival, and has shared the stage with jazz recording artists John Abercrombie, Jerry Bergonzi, Tim Hagans, and John Surman.
