This exhibit features posters collected in Cuba during the 1970s, the "hey-day" of Cuban poster art, defined by militant politics and playful, divergent, exuberant, and often irreverent styles and formats--drawing upon earlier poster traditions from the Mexican and Russian Revolutions as well as 1960s psychedelic pop art. The exhibit is sponsored by CUBAmistad. Museum hours are Tuesday-Friday: 9 am - 4:30 pm and Saturday-Sunday: 1 - 4:30 pm. Closed major holidays.
Collector Gerrie Casey will give a talk at the museum on Nov 14.
