“Kids Alive!: A Family Concert with Kid Kazooey & The BallRoom Roustabouts”
Move over Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley! There’s a new legendary and iconic performer on Lonely Street Productions’ roster, and it’s Bloomington’s own, Kid Kazooey, The Singin’ & Swingin’ Librarian!
As Robert Shaw’s Lonely Street productions’ “Heartbreak Hotel” and “The Man in Black” shows have gained audiences and accolades in the past two years entertaining Brown County audiences, they’ve taken on co-management of Nashville’s The Palace Theatre. This summer and fall they have augmented their offerings to include the family show “Kids Alive! Family Concert with Kid Kazooey & The Ballroom Roustabouts”.
Kid Kazooey, the stage name of mild mannered librarian Kevin MacDowell, began his career entertaining children 16 years ago in the basement of the Brown County Public Library, where MacDowell worked as a librarian. Since then he has toured around the country, written and recorded 4 albums of material for children, and recently authored his own children’s book, The Three Eyed Dragon, illustrated by award winning artist, Joe Lee.
