The Grinch, with a heart “two sizes two small,” has appealed to generations of families through books and movies, but now the beloved hero-turned-villain comes to life on stage in a new and vibrant musical!

In Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! the hairy green monster seethes and plots in his lair while the ever-cheery Whos scurry around Whoville buying boxes and bags, ribbons and bows, and toys and tools for their most celebrated day of the year: Christmas! But when the bitter Grinch determines to steal Whoville’s presents, he might just discover that the holiday isn’t really about fancy gifts.

Complete with the Grinch’s acrimonious song “I Hate Christmas Eve,” the Whos’ pleasant ode “Welcome, Christmas,” and the popular wily number “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” adults and children alike will love seeing their favorite sly monster and exaggeratedly upbeat villagers perform live in dazzling costumes with exciting choreography.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas! is based on Dr. Seuss’ children’s book How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, the original inspiration for the popular animated film in 1966 and the feature film starring Jim Carrey in 2000. The musical, with book and lyrics by Timothy Mason, original score by Mel Marvin, and choreography by John DeLuca, debuted on Broadway in 2006.
