Event

WTIU Public Television is looking for extras to appear in its upcoming documentary James Whitcomb Riley: Hoosier Poet. WTIU will be filming a segment for the program March 23 at 6:30 p.m. at the Tivoli Theatre in Spencer, Ind. Doors to the theater will open at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

During the segment, actor Ronald Keaton will portray Riley and perform readings of his poetry. Extras are needed for the audience and are encouraged to dress in period clothing from 1870–1910. Period clothing is not required for admission to the filming; however, those dressed in costume will be placed closer to the stage. Anyone interested in being an extra should contact wtiu@indiana.edu to receive a dress packet with complete instructions on appropriate period clothing with photo examples.
